Recent commission for Gracechurch Consulting who are based in Lime Street in The City. They had previously commissioned a photographer to update their website headshots and had not be satisfied with the results. We were asked to redo their profile photos and they wanted our informal style which made their staff and directors look more natural and professional.
Commission for Capita who asked us to photograph all their staff and directors who are based in several locations in The City and outer London. Because all the office interiors would vary at each location we agreed to allow elements of each different office to be featured in the background but to keep the lighting on the subject consistent.
Recent shoot for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia who needed their staff profile photos updated. These headshots were taken in their Sydney boardroom which faced north onto Queen Victoria Street which gave a soft ambient light.
Some of my favourite recent commissions have used reflections in glass to enchance the corporate portrait. Most of the time we tend to avoid getting any kind of reflection in a photograph, but sometimes it works and gives the image and extra dimension.
Business portrait of chief executive Steve Groves whose company Partnership who came first in the Sunday Times list of private equity companies with the fastest growing profits. This was shot through a sheet of perspex which Steve had written on. The trick was to get some reflection on the plastic so it looked like glass.
